Sing To Jesus

Hello All,

Just wanted to share this song from one of my all time favorite artists, Fernando Ortega. If you have never been exposed to hymns, I would beg you to check out both his "Hymns and Meditations" and "The Shadow Of Your Wings: Hymns and Sacred Songs" albums, both available on iTunes.

This song appears on the latter album and is a perfect compliment to the week that we are in, walking toward Resurrection Sunday.

Hope you enjoy!

Blessings...To Our Friends,
Frank Sanchez

that's so funny! I was just listening to that song and I was just LOVing it! I was loving it while in the library and I made my friend listen to it because it is just SO good. And THEN, I emailed Reiney and told him he should sing it during Good Friday or Easter service. Not that he ever listens to me, but I just thought it was a good idea ;) Maybe YOU would have more influence!

Carrie,

See, you and I are making people listen to Fernando Ortega! That is something that I completely advocate.

I wish that we had time to learn this song for this week. As it is, time is severely limited...even more so than usual. Besides, my influence might be counterproductive. If I break his arm, then how will he play anything!? :)

Have a great day!

Blessings,
F.S.

Wow, I didn't realize that your influence led to breaking bones. Can you just stay away from him then? Please?

;)

I meant that metaphorically...sorry for the violent allusion...especially for a Fernando thread! It might have been justified in the burrito summit, but not here!

Sorry!

Blessings,
F.S.

Ohhh, come on, Fernando knows we are just joking ;)

I don't think Fernando has ever joked in his entire life...about burritos OR mafia style ministry! :)

"What would Fernando do?"

My thought was what Fernando WOULD'NT Do?

Although, I will say that Fernando is a very funny man. The one time I got to hang around him, I found him to be very comical for being such a prolific musician.

Not that those are mutually exclusive mind you, as some other brilliant musicians are also very funny people...

Ahem...

And now you are name dropping...

But on a serious note, I believe that you can only be a good musician if you are funny, wear skinny jeans, and hang out at bars on Good Friday, with your boss' wife, while you watch half of your worship team playing on stage.

I love Fernando Ortega!! So talented, so soothing, so in love with God. Amazing combination. (I'm a HUGE fan of hymns, I wish we sang them more).

Thanks for the encouragement,it certainly isn't fun while you're in the middle of it...but yes, I'm sure I'll look back and laugh(although currently, its doubtful).

P.S.
You and Lela are THE most amazing couple. I love you both!

Carrie,

Yes, I am a name dropper! But, did I mention that I met Fernando, while hanging out with Fabio!? Alright, that's just not true or called for!

Camyron!

Thanks for coming over to visit! Lela and I think that you are pretty amazing as well...by the way, you sang wonderfully for the early, "wait-I-think-that's-the-sun" Sunrise service!

Blessings,
F.S.
